Orange Cap standings — top fantasy captain candidates
The IPL's leading run-scorer race, calculated on a neutral-venue basis. Strike rate, average, position and home/away split — the dashboard fantasy players actually need.
What this page tracks
The Orange Cap race is the IPL's leading run-scorer award. Three columns matter: total runs, strike rate, and consistency across venues. The standard IPL tally ranks them by runs only; this page ranks them by an adjusted method that strips out home-deck advantage.
We track all of the following: top run-scorers, top strike-rate players (minimum 200 balls), most fifties, most sixes, and the players with the best away-from-home record. Each row links to a per-player profile.

Per-player dashboard
Each player in the top ten has a separate page that drills into their season numbers — venue-by-venue run breakdowns, the bowlers they have scored against, and the captaincy reads the desk has produced for them.
Neutral-venue method
The neutral-venue method is the desk's adjustment of the standard tally. It works by multiplying each player's home runs by a venue-specific adjustment factor (typically 0.85 for tracks that flatten in the second innings, 1.15 for tracks that slow down). The point is to remove the home-fixture convenience and rank players by what they would score on a neutral ground.
This method is not official; the league's cap is the runs-only tally. The neutral-venue method is for fantasy players who want a more durable read.
