The official Indian broadcast and digital platforms for IPL 2026 are operated by the league’s broadcast partners. They appear on Google Play and the Apple App Store under their proper, registered names. Each one is verified by both the platform and the developer, so they appear under a publisher account that includes the broadcaster or the league itself.

Android apps on Google Play
Look for the publisher name — the official broadcaster handle, not a derived or shortened version. The icon, the developer name and the version number are three good identity checks. If the page lists a developer name different from the broadcaster’s registered handle, it’s not the official app.

iOS apps on the App Store
The official broadcaster apps are likewise available on the Apple App Store under the broadcaster’s verified developer account. The same identity checks apply: developer name, app icon, version number, and reviews.
Apple does not allow side-loaded iOS apps. If a page is offering you an iOS download outside the App Store, it’s a fake or a scam.
Why we don’t link to APKs
APK files are the raw Android installation packages. They can be redistributed freely, which means they can also be modified, infected with malware, or rebranded as something they’re not. A side-loaded APK bypasses the developer and platform checks that protect users from these issues.

Verified vs unverified publishers
The fastest check is the publisher name. The official broadcasters are registered as — for the JioCinema and Viacom18 platform — the company’s proper legal name. If a listing shows a different developer, it is not the broadcaster’s app.
A second check is the page itself: the official app pages link back to the broadcaster’s main site and have a real contact email. If the listing points to a Gmail address, treat it as suspect.
